Thom Browne ‘Hector Browne’ Bag

IMAGE: COLETTE

First, before we start, I just want to say that no actual dogs were harmed in the process of making this bag, which well, looks like an actual dog. More specifically, this is supposed to resemble designer Thom Browne’s own dog, his pet dachshund that’s named Hector.

Measuring almost 36 cm across (it’s supposedly life-sized and modelled after the real Hector), you’ll find a pair of top handles, a zip that runs along the spine of the dog (ok, it actually sounds creepy when you say it out loud) and on the inside you’ll find patch pockets on Thom Browne’s signature striped canvas fabric.

Looking more like an otter (or a really large rat) than an actual dachshund (maybe it’s the angle, maybe it’s the fact that beaver fur is used on this bag), you can pick it up now via Colette and give it a good home, provided of course you bark up the EUR2995 (or almost SGD4500) first.

If you like it but prefer it without the fur, there is a full grained leather version that’s actually pretty sleek, along with a selection of Hector-shaped pouches and coin purses in different colours, which you can find online via Colette as well.

Woof you?
