Touted as the next whimsical ‘it’ bag to have, at first glance it does look more like a home accessory, like a fancy jar you would use to stash your bedtime chocolates (or other nighttime goodies, if you know what I mean). Made of a soft body (I’m guessing leather that’s then wrapped with crushed velvet or woven rattan), the most outstanding feature of these bags has got to be their lids, a circular resin lid that tops it off nicely.

Priced at SGD1605 apiece over at MATCHESFASHION, they come in 4 colours, 2 in velvet (Green and Red) and 2 in woven rattan (Beige and Dark Grey). Lift the lids and you’ll find a 16 cm by 19 cm interior lined with an additional drawstring pouch for that extra touch of decadence. Finished with its very own gold-tone metal chain sling, this is definitely one for those who want something different, a little unexpected but still very much chic and sophisticated.
