Henri Rapin first sketched Moynat’s interlocking M in 1905. By 1907, painters at the Rue Coysevox workshop were applying it by hand in amber on dark brown. The monogram was meant to deter copyists, yet it became the house’s signature through the Roaring Twenties. Now, over a century later, Moynat builds on that legacy with Hotel Moynat, a new collaboration with Los Angeles creatives Storm Pablo and Marvin Douglas.

The collection turns a century of hotel travel stickers into an expansive leather goods line. Each vintage-style label is printed on leather and individually stitched onto Moynat’s Monogram M canvas, so the labels feel hand-layered rather than flat-printed. Think of them as small postcards from a stay, a city, a journey someone once took. Together, these layered souvenirs of a well-travelled life give the lineup a collected, lived-in quality.

The duo behind Hotel Moynat come from two corners of Latin-inflected style. Storm Pablo is a stylist who shapes the image of artists such as Bad Bunny, blending heritage with avant-garde looks. Marvin Douglas, meanwhile, is a fine jewellery designer who trained with Tiffany & Co. and Dover Street Market. A finalist for the CFDA x Tiffany & Co. Jewellery Design Award, he also created custom pieces for Bad Bunny’s recent tours.

The first chapter is available at Moynat boutiques worldwide, including Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre outlets. The lineup spans totes, the classic hobo, weekender styles and SLGs. Prices start at SGD440 for leather charms and from SGD3100 for bags. An exclusive full-leather Mignon GM retails at SGD13,400. Made-to-order Limousine trunks will also be available to selected clients, priced at SGD31,600, SGD36,300 and SGD39,500 for the 40 cm, 50 cm and 60 cm respectively.

Moynat has long offered hand-painted initials and ribbon colours, a tradition that lets owners mark their pieces as their own. That spirit of personalisation runs through Hotel Moynat as well. Word has it that a second, sparkling chapter will arrive in November, so stay tuned.
