Ever wanted to design your own Longchamp bag in person? Come October 2026, you can. The French leather goods house is rolling out six MyPliage pop-ups across the Asia-Pacific and United States. At each one, shoppers step into dedicated kiosks to mix and match shapes, colours and patterns. They then preview their creation in 3D before placing an order.

At the centre of it all sits the Le Pliage, a Longchamp fixture since designer Philippe Cassegrain created it in 1993. Drawing on Japanese origami folding principles, the bag earned its following for a lightweight, foldable design. It spans everyday totes to travel bags and beyond, which is precisely why ‘opening it up’ makes so much sense.

MyPliage builds on that legacy by handing the design process to shoppers. Start by choosing one of seven silhouettes, from coin purses and laptop bags to totes and travel bags. Next, select a colour palette, pattern, leather trim and hardware finish. You can also add embossed initials or tuck a private message inside the bag’s inner pocket.

Each piece uses canvas crafted primarily from 100 percent recycled polyester, sourced from repurposed plastic bottles. The patterns let you get quirky, with options such as stripes and hearts, along with a freshly introduced leopard print. Longchamp prints the designs via sublimation, a technique that delivers more vibrant, durable results while staying kinder to the environment.

Launching ahead of the holiday season, Longchamp’s MyPliage pop-ups make for a compelling gifting option. After all, a bag you design yourself is truly one of a kind. In Singapore, the pop-up runs at Raffles City Shopping Centre from 21 October to 18 November 2026. Do note that once you place an order, the piece takes roughly six weeks to arrive.
