Longchamp earned its reputation with the foldable nylon tote most people own, but its quieter leather side deserves attention. For winter 2026, Le Smart takes the lead. Known for minimalist shapes and bamboo-inspired belt, the growing line now also gains new silhouettes, leather materials and colours.

The line relies on neither logos nor monograms. Instead, an adjustable, jewel-like belt wraps around each bag, whether a tote, bucket style or crossbody. Mocha and Végétal, both in smooth leather, already exist in the current lineup. The new Matcha Green, however, livens up a winter wardrobe with a bright pop of colour. Pair it with camel, grey or black ready-to-wear and it works as a deliberate accent.

Another noteworthy update is an all-new graphic grain. Longchamp presses a pattern of crossing lines into the leather, thus creating a geometric grid. The textured surface doesn’t just feel distinctly different from the existing Le Smart bags in smooth leather. It also gives the collection a second visual register.

This grain texture appears on the XL tote alongside two new shapes. One is a bucket bag you carry by hand or crossbody, while the other is a flap bag that sits comfortably over the shoulder. Both feature Longchamp’s signature bamboo-style clasp in a paler gold finish that suits the cooler grained leather. The palette comprises Black and Camel, plus seasonal shades in a deep Olive and a bright Hay Yellow.

Le Smart also shows a more daring side this season. A bucket bag in reptile-effect embossed leather offers a play of textures that beckons touch. Longchamp translates this effect across a mini skirt, jacket, Élan boots for a head-to-toe look with a rocker-cool attitude. This winter 2026, the line keeps its restraint while layering on more texture and colour than ever before.
