Some shoes disappear after a single season. The Birkenstock 1774 Uerzell is certainly not one of them. The lace-up clog returns in three earthy shades through Ensemble 1774, Birkenstock’s incubator for original silhouettes. Thibo Denis, design director of Louis Vuitton men’s footwear alongside Pharrell Williams, helms the project for a third chapter.

The shoe in question sits somewhere between two worlds. It has the easy slip-on spirit of a clog, but the laces and structure give it a sneaker’s personality. Chunky, sculpted proportions are the main attraction, while complemented by a visible cork midsole and a raised sole that add height. Effortlessly cool and forward-thinking, the result is unmistakably Birkenstock, even from across the street.

Three new colourways join the Birkenstock 1774 Uerzell this season. Caccia, Cuoio and Wine draw from autumn’s warm, earthy palette. Each pair sits on Birkenstock’s Blue Footbed, a removable, anatomically shaped insole rooted in the brand’s orthopaedic heritage. The familiar bone-pattern outsole and the 1774 emblem embossed in blue complete the picture.

Caccia and Cuoio, both warm leather-tone shades, pair well with denim, wool trousers or dark knitwear. Wine is the bolder choice, but matches perfectly with charcoal, black or camel. And with the unisex sizing running from 36 to 47, it is also an easy fit for shared wardrobes.

The three new Birkenstock 1774 Uerzell colourways went on sale on 8 October 2026. They are available at Birkenstock 1774’s online store and at selected retail partners worldwide. Since this is an exclusive release, it is worth acting quickly if a shade has caught your eye.
