Anya Hindmarch’s FairPrice Universal Bag is heading back to Singapore with a compact new mini edition. Part of a sustainability project in partnership with leading food retailers worldwide, it first landed here in December 2024. Now, both the original and a new smaller size return, each 100 percent recycled and fully recyclable.
The Universal initiative launched globally in 2021, aiming to change shopping habits for good. Anya Hindmarch develops each retailer’s exclusive version, with every material and stage of production certified under the Global Recycled Standard. Since then, the project has kept more than 546 tonnes of plastic out of landfill. That is roughly the weight of 46 double-decker buses.
In Singapore, the FairPrice Universal Bag arrives in a blue-and-orange colourway with white nastro handles. Both sizes go on sale across 45 FairPrice Finest stores from 1 October 2026. The mini is priced at SGD25 and the original size at SGD30.
Each bag is designed to be desirable, sturdy and endlessly reusable, thus making single-use alternatives hard to justify. Anya Hindmarch has always understood that sustainability needs style to stick. This project, now spanning dozens of retail partners across the globe, is proof of that principle at scale.
With its latest mini size, the Universal Bag widens its reach further. For shoppers in Singapore, there is now also one less reason to grab a plastic bag at checkout.
