Vacheron Constantin is celebrating three decades of the Overseas with a new limited-edition Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin. The anniversary piece pairs an 18K white gold case with a lighter azure dial, a first for the model. It also remains among the thinnest full perpetual calendars of its kind.
Azure blue has featured in the collection since 2016. That year, the third generation series introduced a deep, saturated shade through layered lacquer and metallic finishing. For this anniversary, however, the watchmaker chooses a softer, airier tone that evokes open skies and travel. Set against white gold, the new hue also shifts character with the light. The moon-phase display echoes the same blue, while applied white gold markers and hands ensure legibility.

Powering the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin is Vacheron Constantin’s Calibre 1120 QP/1. This self-winding perpetual calendar movement measures just 4.05 MM thick, keeping the case at only 8.1 MM high. That’s despite housing 276 components that track date, day, month, leap year and moon phases automatically until 2100. Many of these, though, remain hidden once assembled.
Turn the watch over, and a sapphire caseback reveals traditional haute horlogerie finishing. Côtes de Genève striping, bevelled edges and perlage decorate the movement, alongside a 22K gold rotor engraved with a compass rose. That compass motif, of course, is a nod to the travel identity Vacheron Constantin has built around the Overseas.
True to Vacheron Constantin’s tool-free strap-swapping system, the piece ships with three interchangeable options. The integrated white gold bracelet features half-Maltese-cross links. Joining it are white and denim blue rubber straps, each fitted with a matching white gold pin buckle. Limited to just 200 pieces, the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin retails at SGD194,000, inclusive of taxes in Singapore.
