Beyond The Vines (BTV) has built its reputation on minimalist, utilitarian design. From the cult-favourite Dumpling Bag to everyday essentials, the homegrown label holds a distinct place in Singapore’s design scene. Now, it brings that same approach to a new collaboration. The Beyond The Vines x Toyo Steel T-320 Toolbox pairs local creativity with Japanese industrial craft.
The partnership draws on Toyo Steel’s legacy of producing durable, seamless steel toolboxes since 1969. Rather than redesigning the T-320, BTV adds on removable canvas and recycled leather organisers in a colour-coded system. These keep creative tools and everyday essentials neatly arranged. Compact yet practical at 33.3 cm by 13.7 cm by 9.65 cm, the toolbox also comes with a leather handle cover for added comfort.
Launching alongside the Beyond The Vines x Toyo Steel T-320 Toolbox is a curation of bags and accessories. The new Leather Canvas Carryall series includes the Carryall 0.5, Carryall 1.5 and a Mini Tools Charm Set. Each piece pairs washed canvas with recycled leather accents. Shades of Tonal Washed Brown, Navy and Black offer a timeless take on utility-inspired style.
A ready-to-wear capsule then rounds out the collection with workwear-inspired pieces. The lineup features durable cotton tees, shirts, overshirts and overalls in versatile cream and brown hues. Completing the range, the Leather Canvas Logo Cap adds a finishing touch with recycled leather piping.
To celebrate the launch, BTV also introduces Objects of Utility at its refreshed Design Store in Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Customers who purchase either the T-320 Toolbox or any Leather Canvas Carryall can curate five utility-inspired objects to take home. Options include miniature lamps, magnifying glasses and harmonicas, available while stocks last.
Priced at SGD69, the Beyond The Vines x Toyo Steel T-320 Toolbox is available exclusively online, as well as at the Beyond The Vines Design Store at B1-42/46 Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Online purchases include a complimentary personalised leather tag with two silver hot-stamped initials.
