Every year, Qixi gives fashion houses a reason to talk about love. The festival draws on the legend of two celestial lovers reunited across the Milky Way for a single night. Over the years, it has become a natural home for capsule collections. This year, Loewe builds one around the Scarf bag, whose silhouette is held together by elegant leather knots.

This time, two versions arrive in the same Qixi-exclusive shade. Loewe calls it Crystal Pink, a soft, powdery blush with a faint lavender undertone. Crafted from smooth calfskin, the Mini Scarf bag measures 24.5 cm wide and 14.5 cm high. It works equally well as a shoulder or crossbody carry.

The Scarf backpack then takes a different approach. Two leather panels join at a knotted point, finished with an elongated zip running down the side. More compact at 22.5 cm high and 18 cm wide, it wears comfortably with both straps looped. Loewe also designed the straps to detach, so a few nifty adjustments turn it into a clutch or a long sling.

The knotted DNA reads differently across the pair: delicate in the mini, a touch more compact in the backpack. However, both clearly belong to the same Scarf family. Paired with one of the most delicate shades of pink, they certainly make for a fitting homage to Chinese Valentine’s Day.

In Singapore, both Scarf bags from Loewe retail at SGD3200 each. The choice comes down to the carry you prefer: the mini’s shoulder-ready silhouette or the backpack’s shape-shifting versatility.
