In Good Company has planted its newest flag at the eclectic Joo Chiat Road enclave. Transforming a heritage shophouse into a three-storey space, it weaves retail, food and community under one roof. The Singaporean-born label picked the neighbourhood with intention.

Co-founder Jaclyn Teo describes Joo Chiat as one of the few pockets of Singapore where old shophouse life and genuine community still coexist, adding that the conservation building carries a character that “a mall unit never could”. The goal, in her words, was to “create a space that could become part of the neighbourhood’s daily rhythm rather than sit apart from it”.

That philosophy shapes the 3,000 sqf interior. The brand preserved the original brick walls, timber flooring, exposed beams and spiral staircase. Then it layered in natural light, bamboo blinds and woven textures to impart a residential warmth. The result feels more like a well-considered home than a typical retail store. Three distinct levels, meanwhile, give each purpose room to breathe.
At ground level, an object wall of curated lifestyle goods greets visitors. Anchoring this is MIURA, a new tea and wagashi counter from the team behind Paaru. The second floor houses In Good Company’s womenswear, menswear and accessories in a more intimate setting softened by curtains. Finally, a loft at the top stands ready for workshops, gatherings and future community events.
Besides its own collections, the store brings in collaborators spanning wellness, ceramics, fragrance, beauty, furniture and audio. There’s also an exclusive stationery line made with Allegro Print. The opening also coincides with a new collection built around relaxed silhouettes and natural fabrics like cotton, rayon and viscose. A Travel Sleep Sets line, designed for both rest and travel, is set to follow in August 2026.
In Good Company Joo Chiat is located at 316 Joo Chiat Road and opens Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 7 PM.
