Loewe is known for centuries-old craftsmanship and masterful leatherwork, and its latest Scarf bag embodies just that. As the newest addition to the Spanish house’s growing lineup of covetable accessories, it pairs sculptural design with the supple leatherwork that devotees know and love.
Inspired by the fluid movement of a silk scarf, the aptly named bag transforms smooth calfskin into a lightweight silhouette. Two leather panels tie elegantly together to form a distinctive pouch. The quirky shape is reminiscent of a scarf folded in half and tied at the ends. Finished with Loewe’s new distorted Pebble signature, it balances slouch and structure with ease, while the pointed leather edges lend a playful, almost bunny-ear-like charm.
There are two sizes to choose from, starting with the Mini Scarf bag at 24.5 cm by 14.5 cm. It retails at SGD3200, while the Medium Scarf bag, which measures 34 cm by 21 cm, comes in at SGD3990. Both feature adjustable leather straps for versatile hand, shoulder or crossbody wear. A magnetic closure, suede lining, D-ring for personalisation and an embossed logo complete the clean finish.
While the former offers a compact silhouette suited to day-to-night transitions, the larger version is roomy enough for everyday essentials and more. Both sizes come in a choice of Black and Soft White. The medium also comes in Squirrel, and the mini offers an additional Mocha and vibrant Lemon.
Also part of the collection is the Scarf Backpack. Retailing at SGD3200, it puts a playful twist on the concept. Fashioned in the same smooth calfskin, its tied-panel construction creates a whimsical bindle shape. Measuring 9.5 cm wide and 22.5 cm high, its sliding adjustable strap lets you carry it as a backpack, crossbody, over the shoulder or even as a clutch. Piqued your interest? Loewe’s Scarf bag is one must-have that’s unlikely to stay under wraps for long.
