Designer wellness is fast becoming fashion’s newest frontier, and Balenciaga joins the movement with TechWear. The Spanish design house unveiled the unisex collection as part of its fall 2026 collection, Body & Being. It reimagines performance dressing through creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s lens, merging sport, technology and craftsmanship for today’s wellness-driven lifestyles.

At the centre of the collection sits the new Balenciaga Bodies graphic identity, anchored by a looping B motif that symbolises infinite movement. This philosophy runs through the entire lineup, spanning sports bras, tops and hoodies, as well as cycling shorts, leggings and technical socks. Accessories such as caps, towels and sneakers extend the concept beyond the gym, rounding out a wardrobe built for movement on and off duty.

Material innovation also plays a key role across TechWear. Mesh-membraned taffeta tracksuits and leather windbreaker sets introduce ultrasonic-welded nylon tape, creating sleek, edge-to-edge seams without traditional stitching. The technique lends each piece a clean, almost architectural finish, true to Balenciaga’s design language.

Meanwhile, selected pieces feature an aqua-zip closure for water-repellent protection. Stretch garments like bodysuits and leggings are breathable, antibacterial, fast-drying, moisture-wicking and UV-protective, built to perform under pressure. Reflective high-visibility details appear on select designs too, ensuring pieces transition seamlessly from day to night.

To mark the launch, global activations built around contemporary self-care rituals are rolling out. Pop-ups in Paris, Beijing and Shanghai feature limited-edition beverage bars and displays marked with the looping B motif. The house is also partnering with Barry’s fitness studios in cities from Los Angeles and London to Sydney and Singapore. Expect customised classes, curated music playlists and a Balenciaga Barry’s smoothie at the in-house Fuel Bar.

The full collection of technical ready-to-wear and accessories that balance comfort with the Spanish house’s aesthetic is now available in select stores worldwide, as well as online. Prices range from SGD260 for a pair of technical socks to SGD6350 for a rain jacket. As TechWear signals a new chapter for the house, Balenciaga shows performance and elevated style can certainly move as one.
