Penhaligon's has held the hearts of fragrance aficionados in Singapore ever since the quintessentially British perfumery first arrived nearly 15 years ago. Now, however, the 156-year-old heritage house ushers in a fresh chapter with the opening of its second standalone boutique. Located at B1-31A Takashimaya Shopping Centre, the new space marks a considered expansion of its presence.

Step within, and you’ll find yourself immersed in a gallery of craftsmanship. The boutique is awash in William’s Green, the house’s signature hue, which flows seamlessly across walls and façade. Warm wood flooring and marble tabletops further reflect its Victorian heritage. Meanwhile, the overall design remains contemporary and open, inviting you to linger and explore at your own pace.
Every corner, moreover, feels thoughtfully conceived. From the striking lion head sculpture that stands guard over the candle display, to oversized perfume bottles and intricate insignias, each detail adds depth. A chandelier fashioned from the brand’s iconic flacon introduces a theatrical touch. At the heart of the space, a rounded discovery table encourages a personal journey through scent that goes beyond browsing.
Fragrance profiling remains a signature offering, inviting guests to sit down and explore scent through memory, mood and personality. There’s also a dedicated handwash ritual that transforms the mundane act into something indulgent. Furthermore, thoughtful touches such as complimentary gift wrapping and engraving services ensure every visit feels tailored and transportive.
There is, of course, plenty to tempt on the shelves. Signature collections such as Trade Routes, British Tales and Portraits sit alongside beloved scents like Luna, Halfeti and The Coveted Duchess Rose. In addition, bath and body offerings, as well as scented candles for the home, round out the selection.
While there, be sure to catch a whiff of the latest eau de parfum from the Potions & Remedies collection. Fresh and spirited, the new Bold Blend opens with an energising burst of peppermint and black pepper. It then softens into clary sage and violet leaf, before settling into a trio of woods, including palo santo, that grounds the scent in warmth and invites spontaneity.
