When you think of Diptyque, the maison’s signature scented candles almost always come to mind. From cult favourites such as Baies and Figuier to Feu de Bois, the fragranced vessels have long embodied Parisian indulgence. Now, in 2026, the French perfumery reimagines its iconic candle collection for the first time since 1963, the very year it transformed home fragrance.

So, what exactly is new? For starters, Diptyque collaborates with Franco-Swiss designer Julie Richoz to subtly refine the iconic candle vessel. This time, the glass is reduced in weight, signalling a more responsible approach to design. While the familiar silhouette remains instantly recognisable, closer inspection reveals refined contours and a new oval ridge framing the label.

The label itself, arguably one of the most recognisable signatures, also receives a delicate update. Its oval form, monochrome palette and typography inspired by cryptographic codes remain intact. However, the details now appear sharper and more refined. Together, these thoughtful adjustments preserve the maison’s identity while quietly modernising the overall design.

Naturally, sustainability sits at the heart of this reinvention. Arriving later this year, Diptyque’s newly developed refill system will introduce 10 refillable signature scents. This extends the fragrance ritual while reducing waste. Rather than a first attempt, the initiative builds on Les Mondes de Diptyque, the refillable collection first launched in 2023.

Alongside the redesign, Diptyque also expands its scented candle universe with five new fragrances described as a herbarium of spices. Café evokes freshly ground coffee beans, while Sesame Noir fills the air with toasted woody intensity. Meanwhile, Rhubarbe introduces crisp tartness, Ortie leans aromatic and green, while Shiso layers herbal clarity.

Priced at SGD108 for 190 g, the reinvented classic candles bring a renewed glow in over 50 fragrances. They are now available at Diptyque boutiques, together with a new suite of accessories that extend the experience. Ribbed borosilicate glass holders, porcelain trays, sculptural lids and oversized matchboxes continue the ritual beyond the flame.
