Rimowa occupies a vital position within the travel landscape. Its aluminium luggage, complete with iconic grooves, remains instantly recognisable from afar. The Essential polycarbonate line, however, brings Rimowa to a broader audience while retaining that same architectural vocabulary. Now, with the introduction of Orange and Magenta, the brand furthers its intent.
There is no blending into the carousel, and certainly no quiet exit from baggage claim. Orange refuses anonymity with its electrifying buzz, while Magenta carries a deep, luminous fuchsia tone. In fact, it feels even less inclined toward discretion. As quiet luxury reaches saturation, colour and personality begin to push back, evident in Rimowa’s latest launches.

The new hues may read as seasonal colours for a premium luggage line. However, they also act as a subtle provocation, signalling a willingness to inject joy into the design brief. Launching on 23 April 2026 in Singapore, the Essential Cabin (SGD1300) and Trunk Plus (SGD2870) arrive in both shades. Separately, the Essential Check-in M (SGD1500) appears in Orange, while the Check-in L (SGD1630) comes in Magenta.

Beyond luggage, Rimowa expands its Groove leather range with a small crossbody bag (SGD1600) in Orange. This seasonal hue joins existing shades of Chalk and Cognac. Crafted from Italian calf leather, it is precisely colour-matched to the polycarbonate cases. With this move, the German luggage brand is building a complete travel wardrobe in a single chromatic family.
In addition, packing cubes (from SGD160) and a trifold toiletry pouch (SGD360) extend the story further. Altogether, they shift this from a simple launch into something closer to a full ecosystem. It feels coordinated, considered and undeniably expressive. Ultimately, Rimowa turns up the volume here, proving that the loudest luggage in the room now comes in Orange and Magenta.
