The power of a computer is no longer confined to your desk or your pocket. Now, with Meta AI working alongside Ray-Ban and Oakley, it rests seamlessly on the bridge of your nose. Enter a new generation of technology, where intelligence and connectivity sit directly within your field of vision. More importantly, it integrates so subtly into daily life that it becomes an extension of yourself.

Come 20 April, Singapore becomes the very first market in Southeast Asia to experience this shift. You can walk into a Ray-Ban store and walk out wearing a 12MP ultra-HD camera, an open-ear speaker system and a direct line to Meta AI. All of it, notably, is disguised as everyday eyewear in Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2). The Wayfarer. The Skyler. The Headliner. Classic Ray-Ban frames, now carrying something fundamentally new within.

What’s interesting about this moment, however, isn’t solely the technology. After all, Ray-Ban Meta has been selling in the United States and Europe for some time. In fact, it is the world’s number one AI glasses by volume. What matters, instead, is where, and why now. As one of the most AI-ready economies with high smartphone penetration and robust digital infrastructure, Singapore feels primed for this next phase.

These glasses literally see what you see and hear what you hear. With a single press of a newly designed action button, they summon an AI that understands your immediate visual and auditory context. At the same time, hands-free photography and video remove the need to pull out your phone. As such, capturing candid moments becomes effortless and far more natural.

The lineup also extends to Oakley Meta. Styles like the Oakley Meta Vanguard deliver real-time sports performance data without cumbersome helmet-mounted gear. Meanwhile, the Oakley Meta HSTN integrates an Ultra HD camera, powerful open-ear speakers and IPX4 water resistance. Selected pairs also feature Oakley PRIZM lens technology, enhancing vision across changing light conditions.

And then there is the Jennie factor. The Blackpink star’s role as global ambassador for Ray-Ban Meta isn’t incidental to the Southeast Asian launch; it is central. In a region shaped by K-pop’s cultural gravity, aligning with one of its most recognisable faces is a precise move.

AI at eye level means AI with context. Where you are, who you are with and what you are looking at all come into play. The full lineup officially drops in Singapore on 20 April 2026 across Ray-Ban, Oakley, Sunglass Hut and authorised optical retailers. Moreover, prescription wearers are no longer excluded. Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2) arrive in May 2026, extending full functionality to those who need corrective lenses.
