Chanel invites you to play, quite literally, with its ultra-exclusive Coco Game capsule unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2026. Conceived by director of Chanel’s watchmaking creation studio Arnaud Chastaingt, the collection pushes watchmaking into whimsical territory. It explores time through gaming codes, black-and-white signatures and Gabrielle Chanel herself.

Starting with the must-see centrepiece, The Chessboard, that is nothing short of extraordinary. Crafted from ceramic, gold and over 9000 diamonds, it transforms haute horlogerie into a true objet d’art. For example, the 32 pawns draw from the Chanel universe, in the form of lions, mannequin busts and the Vendôme column, amongst others. At the centre, Mademoiselle takes her place as queen, twice, concealing time beneath her pedestal.

Next, the Gabrielle Watch captures her in an iconic pose, stepping beyond the dial in a diamond-set tweed suit. Using the meticulous tweed setting technique, the figure feels almost sculptural as it emerges from the dial. Its counterpart, the Gabrielle Long Necklace, transforms her into a wearable talisman. Suspended in white gold, onyx and diamonds, it reveals the hour with a simple twist.

Another playful twist comes through the Première Coco Game Ring, which leans into duality. Simply flip the central diamond and time appears. One side gleams with a baguette-cut stone, while the other reveals the iconic Première dial. It feels clever, discreet and quietly theatrical.

Of course, the J12 enters the game as well, led by the J12 X-Ray Coco Game. Crafted in sapphire crystal, this timepiece features floating mechanics that require seven days to assemble. Alongside it, the J12 Coco Game Charms introduces a pixelated Mademoiselle swinging from the crown. Meanwhile, the J12 Coco Game animates her across the dial, bringing movement into play.

Finally, the Boy·Friend Coco Game completes the lineup of must-sees, with Gabrielle as the Queen of Hearts. Styled like a playing card, she appears on the dial in tweed, a boater hat and layered pearls. A crisp white strap sharpens the look, while diamond details add drama. Consider this your cue to play, so ready, get set and game on.
