The Clicca is one of the first original designs Pierpaolo Piccioli has created for Balenciaga. It makes its debut in The Heartbeat, his inaugural spring-summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection.
Its supple body folds gently in the middle, forming a ‘V’ shape that adapts effortlessly to the body’s contours. Whether slung over the shoulder, draped from the elbow or worn crossbody, it moves in harmony with its wearer. The style is uncompromisingly accommodating, as Piccioli prioritises comfort and personal expression above all.

Then there is the lock, which gives the Clicca its defining character. It takes the form of an oblong gold plate, sleek yet quietly distinctive. At its centre, a nod to the house initial emerges from the negative space of a ‘B’. This is surely monogramming at its most restrained. As the lock clasps onto its base, the front flap closes with a satisfying mechanical click, fulfilling the promise of its name.
For minimalists, Black or Snow White Arena lambskin offers a timeless starting point. Both hues, after all, integrate seamlessly into almost any wardrobe. Meanwhile, those drawn to richer textures can opt for suede calfskin in Azalee or Muscade. Each version comes finished with aged-gold hardware, lending a sense of permanence that extends beyond the season.
Ultimately, Balenciaga’s Clicca shoulder bag does not loudly announce a new era, but simply clicks perfectly into place. Retailing at SGD4000, it arrives in a single medium size, measuring 29 cm wide and 20 cm high.
