For spring-summer 2026, Bottega Veneta’s new creative director infuses fresh energy into a namesake icon. Adding both literal and figurative depth to the classic, Louise Trotter introduces the all-new Baby Veneta. It features a new padded Intrecciato, crafted from 1.2-cm-wide nappa leather strips, elevating the weave from flat to richly textured.
While the Veneta was revealed in three sizes back in January, this little darling deserves closer attention. It preserves the sculptural signature of its larger siblings but scales the silhouette down to a compact 26 cm wide by 15 cm high form. Despite the extra tactile cushioning, the proportions remain instantly recognisable.
Moreover, the Baby Veneta channels playful utility with surprising capacity. It accommodates an iPhone 17 Pro Max, SLG, keys and more for a full day out. Consequently, it transitions easily into the evening. Compact, yes, but thoughtfully designed for real use.
Offered in 11 new shades, from deep Blue Venezia to grounded Nocciola, the focus rests firmly on texture and colour. Instead of overt branding, Bottega Veneta lets craftsmanship lead. Bonus points for the padded leather that ensures that even the smallest version feels substantial and satisfying to hold. Certainly a clever design touch not to be overlooked.
In a world of loud logos, the Baby Veneta, retailing at SGD4300, lets the rhythm of its Intrecciato weave and the suppleness of the nappa leather speak for themselves. With this considered update, Bottega Veneta shows that the most powerful statements often arrive in the smallest, softest forms.
