If you didn’t already know, Le Labo offers an entire suite of Home Creations devoted to scenting your space. Designed to echo its cult-favourite perfumes, the range spans room fragrances, diffusers and of course, classic candles. And to usher in the new year, the maison introduces the Cyprès 21 Indigo candle, setting an aromatic tone for 2026.
This special edition candle is a nod to ‘aizome’, the ancient Japanese art of indigo dyeing. Le Labo partners with an intimate family workshop, which has passed the craft down through five generations. Practised hands immerse cotton in decades-old wooden casks of fermented Japanese indigo, or ‘ai’. Each piece then emerges, marked indelibly by layered hues that reflect tradition and elemental alchemy.

The 245 g Cyprès 21 Indigo candle arrives in a deep blue vessel, its box bearing a custom indigo-gradient label. It stands as Le Labo’s tribute to indigo’s expressive, tactile beauty. More importantly, it also reflects the perfumery brand’s belief in craftsmanship as a living practice, renewed through the commitment of those carrying it forward.
The scent itself evokes the calm of a woodland escape, with bright, resinous cypress sitting at its heart. Juniper, clove and star anise lift the composition, before yielding to the grounding warmth of incense and alluring patchouli. Conceived as an olfactory pause, the blend encourages stillness, offering a moment of calm and clarity for the year ahead.
Priced at SGD140, the Cyprès 21 Indigo candle launches on 5 January 2026. Get a whiff at Le Labo Singapore labs at either Takashimaya Shopping Centre or The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
