Of late, a steady wave of classic designer bags seem to be re-emerging, much to the delight of bag aficionados. The latest to drift back into the fashion orbit is one of Celine’s most beloved cult designs. Now reimagined as the new Trio Flap, it reads like a love letter to the original, but with a refreshing modern update.

The original Trio debuted more than a decade ago, featuring three sleek compartments that could either snap together or function separately. It quickly became emblematic of then-creative director Phoebe Philo’s refined minimalism, balancing understated sophistication with everyday function.

Today, under Michael Rider, the French fashion house continues to honour its rich past while sharpening its contemporary sensibility. His latest homage, the Trio Flap, is unmistakably same same but different. While staying faithful to the compact rectangular structure and three-pouch construction, it moves forward with subtle updates.

Measuring 22.5 cm by 12.5 cm by 3.5 cm, it features a central zip compartment flanked by two outer pockets with snap-button closures. When the pockets button together, a flap folds over, distinguishing it from the original’s zipper-only profile. Another noteworthy update sees sliding knots adding charm and practicality to the adjustable strap.

Crafted from smooth lambskin and lined in suede, the style is cleanly finished with embossed Celine and Triomphe logos. Retailing SGD2250, the chic Trio Flap arrives in Black, Citrus, Safari and Soft Tan, each paired with gold hardware, offering a polished new chapter for a beloved classic.
