Bottega Veneta’s reintroduction of the beloved Veneta for its pre-spring 2026 collection is a refreshing lesson in enduring style. A thoughtful evolution of an icon first launched in 2002, Louise Trotter reinterprets the Veneta for modern tastes. The current creative director updates it with subtle tweaks that align seamlessly with the brand’s quintessential identity.
This new rendition bridges the design evolutions of the past two decades. The original by Tomas Maier featured smooth leather handles and raw-edged braided piping. In 2015, an update introduced a seamless Intrecciato form that integrated the handle into the body. The current reissue maintains this seamless technique but presents a more streamlined and elevated finish.
To preserve the bag’s supple nature while enhancing its structure, Bottega Veneta introduces a 1.2 cm-wide padded Intrecciato weave. Crafted in padded nappa lambskin, it imparts a compact, three-dimensional texture that feels both modern and timeless. A full soft lambskin lining makes it equally beautiful both inside and out.

The bag’s seamless transition from the spring-summer 2026 runway to the arms of cultural tastemakers underscores its relevance. It stands out, whether paired with Elordi’s relaxed sweater-and-jeans combo or the cutting-edge ensemble from Sooin of K-pop band MEOVV. The reinforced leather handles offer a light, supple feel for comfortable, all-day wear.
Available in three sizes, with small and maxi sandwiching the classic Veneta, this reimagined icon defines effortless chic for a new generation. Also accompanying each bag is Bottega Veneta’s Certificate Of Craft, a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to artisanal excellence.
