Valentino has always looked to the Eternal City for inspiration. With the Italian luxury fashion house’s Anatomy Of Dreams haute couture fragrance collection, Rome now takes olfactive form. First launched in 2024, it’s a dreamscape of eight eau de parfums, each one a different door to memory, feeling and possibility.

Master perfumers bottle these visions in sculptural glass flacons topped with studded caps, echoing Valentino’s iconic rockstud and the bugnato textures of Roman palazzos. The VLogo is engraved on the golden champagne spray, while a dimensional stud on the base reflects the colour of the juice within. Even the stitched canvas labels are couture-inspired, recalling the brand’s atelier boxes.

The line-up is a rainbow of moods, such as Behind The Seen, which anchors nutty vetiver with elegance. Then Club Couture surprises with fig and patchouli. L’Innocence de L’Air blends fresh rose and green tangerine, while Notte d’Oro conjures a midnight banquet of almond and oud.

Other standouts include Private Talk, a seductive swirl of tuberose and cappuccino, and Punk Romantic, where vanilla surprisingly meets olivewood. Another unexpected composition sees Sogno In Rosso pairing Italian milk foam with spicy pepper. Finally, the newest Amour Sans Detour laces violet and leather into a chypre floral that whispers boudoir mystique.

For those who love to layer their fragrances, the collection also includes two fragrance enhancers. Bianco 1968 offers soft iris-powdered musk, while Rockstud Noir adds woody depth with sandalwood. You can either wear them alone or pair with any scent in the collection to build your own Italian dream.

Priced at SGD505 for a 100 ML eau de parfum and SGD200 for a 30 ML fragrance enhancer, Anatomy Of Dreams is available exclusively at Valentino boutiques. Travelling soon? You can also discover the full line at the immersive haute parfumerie pop-up that’s happening from now until 18 November 2025 at Changi Airport’s Terminal 1 Departure Hall.
