Marni’s Tulipea Bag, first unveiled on the fall-winter 2025 runway, signals a quiet evolution for the brand. Moving away from the boxy Trunk and Trunkaroo shoulder bags, Marni embraces a softer, more intellectual spirit. As its name suggests, the Tulipea Bag draws inspiration from the vibrant and sculptural form of a tulip in bloom.
At first glance, it feels like a clean, structured vessel. But a closer look reveals a delicate, organic influence. The body remains rigid and grounded, while the gathered sides, cinched by slim drawstrings, mimic a tulip unfurling. Elongated handles act like graceful stems, bringing balance and tension to the design.

Marni deliberately strips away excess, eliminating visible hardware to highlight the natural beauty of supple buffalo leather. Its subtle veining and slightly glossy finish exude quiet luxury. Every curve and contour on the Tulipea Bag speaks to ease and effortlessness, proving that simplicity can still command attention.
The bag comes in Black and Citronelle, an unexpected acid green hue that recalls Marni’s signature playful eccentricity. Instead of chasing viral silhouettes or heavy branding, this design feels calm yet confident, a quiet statement for those who favour thought over noise.
Two sizes await. The squarish Small Tulipea Bag measures 24 cm by 24 cm, while the regular version features an east-west profile at 32 by 19 cm. Poised to bloom beautifully through the season, the Tulipea Bag is sure to leave a lasting scent on the fashion landscape.
