Burberry’s introduction of the new Highlands bags, a standout range from fall-winter 2025, pays homage to the brand’s deep-seated connection to the British outdoors, while highlighting the ever-iconic check. The collection has expanded beyond jacquard woven styles to include full-grain buffalo leather bags, designed to age beautifully through the elements.
The use of buffalo leather speaks to durability and weathered elegance, perfectly echoing Daniel Lee’s runway inspiration for the season. Perhaps the most captivating detail is the intarsia Burberry Check, a step beyond simply printing the house’s signature motif. Instead, precisely-cut panels of leather are hand-stitched to transform the familiar into a newly invented work of leather marquetry.

Practicality remains at the heart of Burberry’s design philosophy. The Highlands Bowling Bag, with its detachable strap, offers versatility for both handheld and crossbody wear. Meanwhile, the Highlands Shoulder Bag features a spacious interior that accommodates a laptop, documents and daily essentials. Both bags proudly bear the Knight stamp, an emblem of the house positioned prominently in front.
For those who love details, the Medium Highlands Bowling Bag measures 33.5 cm by 17 cm. The Large Highlands Shoulder Bag, on the other hand, comes in at 40 cm by 38 cm. Two colourways are available: a rich, deep tone of Fig Purple and Hazel Brown, featuring brown notes and hints of green.
