Looking for a utilitarian classic? You can’t go wrong with Miu Miu’s Pocket Bag. First unveiled in spring-summer 2023, the aptly named design is characterised by all-over exterior pockets that are decorative yet functional. This season, the iconic style returns in audacious new formats, bauletto-style and hobo bags, which retain the elegant yet rebellious edge of the original.
Firstly, the top-handle bauletto-style bag (from SGD5700) reinterprets the distinctive lines of its predecessor with larger proportions. Though there are three sizes to choose from, it is worth noting that they are all 32 cm wide. However, they come in varying heights of 15.5 cm, 19 cm and 22 cm.
Four pockets sit around its exterior. This includes a front zipper pocket embossed with the Miu Miu logo that’s perfect for either sunglasses or phone. There are also two side pockets which can hold a compact powerbank and earbuds. Lastly, a flat magnetic-closure pocket on the back is perfect for quick-access cards.

There’s also the hobo style (from SGD4700) in two sizes, 22 cm by 18.5 cm and 32 cm by 28 cm. The smaller of the two has a front pocket, two side pockets and two back pockets. The larger design, however, presents two pockets in front, two side pockets and a flap with button closure on the back.
Straddling form and function, the new Miu Miu bags are available in classic shades of black and brown. Choose from different finishes, such as softly padded leather, smooth nappa leather, age-treated nappa leather and soft-washed nappa leather for a lived-in, vintage appeal.
