Organised around the theme of Hymne à l’amour, the exhibition celebrates the maison’s savoir-faire, while reflecting the excellence of Parisian haute couture.
Firstly, the heart of the installation spotlights 400 emblematic white toiles on different scales. Alongside are bottles of iconic Dior fragrances reinterpreted through 3D printing. Not forgetting the Amphores Tricolores perfume bottles that Christian Dior designed in 1949, of course.
A specially curated series of artworks also await. These range from poetic images by artist Yuriko Takagi that bring Dior models to life to three variations of the timeless Bar Suit anchored by medallion chairs designed by Tokujin Yoshioka.
Lastly, don’t miss the Lady Dior bag that Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima reinterpreted for the Lady Dior As Seen By project in 2024. The piece echoes the first vocation of Monsieur Dior, who aspired to become an architect before turning to couture.
The Dior exhibition in the French pavilion at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo runs till 13 October. If you’re heading there anytime soon and would like to immerse yourself in the fabulous odyssey, you can purchase an admission ticket via the official site.
