Chanel’s J12, born at the turn of the millennium, has long been a silent revolution in black and white ceramic. For 25 years (practically a lifetime in the realm of haute horlogerie), the timepiece established its legacy throughout the watchmaking world. But now it’s time for a change. Enter the new J12 Bleu.

When the maison unveiled this stunning new interpretation at Watches & Wonders 2025, it instantly redefined expectations. Embarking on this fresh chapter, Chanel's Watchmaking Creation Studio created nine stunning iterations in highly resistant matte blue ceramic.

At Chanel, ceramic is a canvas for artistic expression. Arnaud Chastaingt, director of Chanel's Watchmaking Creation Studio, describes the material as one that “offers a vast creative playing field”. And what a field they’ve cultivated, with five years of extensive research and experimentation leading to this singular blue shade.

There are nine creations within the J12 Bleu collection, including five limited-edition haute horlogerie pieces. Bright blue sapphire indicators adorn selected timepieces, while others maintain a more subtle elegance. Uniting them all, however, is the brilliance of this extraordinary blue in Chanel’s signature ceramic that is seven times stronger than steel.

For now, Chanel offers a glimpse as to what you can expect with the J12 Bleu Watch Calibre, starting with the classic 38 MM timepiece with black varnished indicators priced at SGD15,950. Then there are the limited haute horlogerie creations that take the spotlight like the J12 Bleu X-Ray, J12 Bleu Sapphires and J12 Bleu Tourbillon Diamond Calibre 5.
