Balenciaga, as always, brings the unexpected. Its latest surprise? A collaboration with Scholl, the brand that specialises in innovative orthopaedic footwear that prioritises comfort. Stemming from creative director Demna’s desire to create the most comfortable heels ever, the Spanish fashion house taps into the Italian brand’s expertise.

The Balenciaga x Scholl capsule features a range of footwear for both women and men. For women, the offerings include heeled mules, knee-high boots and a selection of sandals. Prices range from SGD830 to SGD2450.
Firstly, look forward to calfskin sandals in heeled and flat variations. These feature exposed ergonomic cork soles and Scholl’s distinctive metal buckles as an homage to the original 1956 Pescura clog. Also expect to find mules in nappa sheepskin with concealed cork footbeds, alongside beechwood platform clogs with perforated uppers.
Other signature Balenciaga footwear silhouettes, like its signature pool slide sandals, also receive an extra injection of comfort. On the other hand, the men’s line-up sees four designs, including mules, pool slides and two different sandals. Prices range from SGD600 to SGD1050.
