Earlier this month at Paris Fashion Week, Delvaux presented an immersive installation. The showcase celebrated the 1958 Brussels World Expo, the very event that sparked the creation of its iconic Le Brillant. This season, we look forward to Le Brillant Tempo, a reinterpretation of the Belgian maison's OG bag.
Inspired by the striking Philips Pavilion structure that Le Corbusier designed for the world fair, the iconic bag that also debuted in 1958 is an architectural feat in itself. Its distinctive structure requires an intricate amalgamation of 64 separate leather and metallic pieces. Tying it all together are the signature gem-like buckle and sculptural handles.

This brings us to the updated style that will be coming soon. The Le Brillant Tempo promises to be a lighter and more versatile iteration of the original, but equally sophisticated. Its new supple shape offers a softer, more fluid form. Casual yet refined, the slouchy style still carries signature details, such as the buckle, elegant gussets and two styling options.
While you wait with bated breath, know for now that the Le Brillant Tempo will be available in two sizes. The smaller version will function as either an elegant clutch or crossbody. Excited? Stay tuned for more details.
