The Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collaboration shows no signs of stopping as the French fashion house continues down memory lane to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the emblematic partnership. Chapter 2 of the re-edition collection launches in March 2025, bringing with it Murakami’s beloved Cherry Blossom pattern.

Chapter 1 re-introduced Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram Multicolore alongside the Superflat Panda and Superflat Garden. After that resounding success, this second instalment promises to be a celebration of Y2K pop culture. It was precisely the era that the original collaboration first took the fashion world by storm, of course.

In Chapter 2, the cherry blossom motif perfectly encapsulates Y2K’s playful optimism. The delicate pink flowers will feature on various items, from handbags and luggage to accessories and ready-to-wear. Each piece will be a nostalgic nod to the original collaboration.

One of the must-have silhouettes is the Papillon that’s making a comeback for Chapter 2. Other styles include the OnTheGo, Speedy 25, Keepall 45 and the Rolling Trunk, all spruced up with the cheerful cherry blossom motif atop Monogram Canvas.

Word has it that those who want something besides the classic Monogram Canvas also have something to look forward to. The Alma BB, Capucines City and Marellini will be rendered in leather, standing out in a cheeky shade of pink. This second chapter will surely be a hit with longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Mark your calendars, and prepare to relive the magic of the original collaboration while soaking in the joy of Murakami’s whimsical world anew.
