In 2020, Hermès launched its beauty métier with its first makeup product, the Rouge Hermès lipstick. Since then, the maison’s beauty arm has grown to offer a range of complexion perfectors, eye makeup products and nail polishes. Now, Hermès Beauty expands its offerings further with a new Rouge Brillant Silky lipstick.
Inspired by the velvety caress of the maison’s iconic silk scarves, Hermès Beauty’s creative director Gregoris Pyrpylis describes it as “a tender lipstick - the kind you can apply without a mirror”. Delicately tinted and intensely glossy, the hybrid lipstick imparts a sheer wash of buildable colour.
The lightweight formula is composed of 85 percent natural origin ingredients and infused with lip care elements. These include a base of plant oils, moisturising and plumping raspberry leaf extract, and softening and smoothing sesame seed extract. Thanks to these, the Rouge Brillant Silky nourishes the pout while ensuring ultra-comfortable wear.
Just like the Rouge Hermès, a refillable case featuring lacquered, brushed and polished metal with black, white and permabrass finishes houses the Rouge Brillant Silky. It similarly boasts a custom-blended scent of arnica, candied angelica flower and sandalwood courtesy of in-house perfumer Christine Nagel. But the new offering sets itself apart with a slender, elongated look, its slanted bullet also allowing for controlled application.
There are 14 shades to choose from. Firstly, five signature Rouge Hermès hues comprise Rouge Casaque, Rouge H, Rouge Amazone, Rose Boisé and Rose Épicé. The collection also features three additional limited-edition hues for the season. Beige Halo, Orange Flash and Rose Gélatine all come wearing zesty, summer-hued cases.
Priced at SGD118, with refills at SGD77, the Rouge Brillant Silky will be available from 1 March 2025 at Hermès Singapore boutiques at Liat Towers, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya.
