Chanel’s spring-summer 2025 pre-collection offers a diverse range of offerings from ready-to-wear to costume jewellery. But it’s the small leather goods that manage to capture the interplay of black and white to pretty much perfection. In particular, two key styles in smooth leather stand out with eye-catching contrast piping.
Firstly, the smaller design is the compact Clutch With Chain. Measuring 11.5 cm wide and 8.5 cm high, this SLG features a single compartment for essentials. A slim cardholder, several travel-size beauty items and even your AirPods can fit snugly within. Shut the flap via its magnetic closure, then sling the grab-and-go style via the leather-interlaced chain strap.
Then comes the Wallet On Chain, which is slightly wider and taller at 19.2 cm by 12.3 cm. This has all the makings of a Chanel classic handbag, down to the diamond-quilted overstitching and CC turn-lock clasp. Except it is much slimmer, with dedicated interior pockets and zips that function more like a long continental wallet.
You really can’t go wrong with black and white. What’s more, these are some of the rare few SLGs that come with an extra notch detailing on the flap that mimics Chanel’s Flap handbags. In Singapore, prices start at SGD3300 for the Clutch With Chain and SGD5560 for the Wallet On Chain.
