In a world that’s constantly in motion, we find bags and accessories also evolving in similar fashion. Enter the Ciao Ciao, Bottega Veneta’s latest addition to its ever-growing bag family. Signature brass hardware and sliding knotted strap punctuate the relaxed, supple silhouette in silky calfskin leather.
But the Ciao Ciao is more than just a pretty face. Its playful name, meaning both ‘Hello’ and ‘Goodbye’ in Italian, hints at its intended design as a daily companion. While its shape is similar to the Andiamo, slight tweaks set the new style apart from its predecessor.
Firstly, it comes with a leather flap that adds an extra layer of security for your belongings. You can either secure the flap with a hidden hook closure to close the bag completely with the knotted leather strap or casually drape it over the middle compartment. Another nifty element on the coaxial strap lets you attach the accompanying leather sling to transform it into a crossbody.
The Ciao Ciao (SGD7980) measures 34 cm wide and 26 cm high, whereas the Large Ciao Ciao (SGD11,800) comes in at 41.5 cm by 32 cm. Pick from classic Bottega Veneta shades such as Black, Barolo, Ecru and Fondant. The large version also comes in seasonal variations of Matcha and Rose for spring-summer 2025.
A bag that understands the constant ebb and flow of hellos and goodbyes in modern life, the Ciao Ciao is now available at Bottega Veneta boutiques at Marina Bay Sands and Paragon, as well as Singapore’s online store.
