Longchamp’s iconic Le Pliage needs little introduction. Its lightweight body and distinctive Russian leather flap punctuated with a gold-tone snap button finds fans worldwide. Today, the line continues to innovate, with the Le Pliage collection expanding to include a playful and unexpected artichoke motif.
In its spring-summer 2025 collection, Longchamp incorporated the vegetable’s distinctive shape into its classic olive gingham canvas. This unexpected pairing injects a dose of rustic charm across a range of styles, from shoulder pouches to spacious totes.
For example, in the Le Pliage XS Pouch (SGD350), one of the most beloved styles in the series. Measuring just 17 cm wide and 11 cm high, it now swaps the classic nylon for the gingham artichoke canvas. Extra loops near the handle also let you attach the accompanying Russian leather shoulder strap.
Continuing its play on vegetables, Longchamp also creates a grocery-inspired carryall. The Le Pliage M Shoulder Bag (SGD595) features an adjustable bow handle. Its 29 cm by 27 cm body displays a rustic charm with the delightful (and delectable) gingham artichoke print.
Last but certainly not least, the Le Pliage XL Artichoke Bag (SGD650) is one for avid collectors. Equal parts quirky and functional, this linen-look cotton canvas market bag features a giant green artichoke emblazoned across the front. Expect to tote this oversized piece either via its top handle or a removable shoulder strap, while garnering curious looks from onlookers.
