If Prada is the polished sister who’s always put together, Miu Miu is the younger sibling who embodies cheekiness, fun and a tinge of rebellion. Since launching in 1993, Miuccia Prada’s nickname namesake label continues to deliver covetable ready-to-wear and accessories. This season is no different, with the revival of the Aventure bags and charms.
For fall-winter 2024, Miuccia invited Doctor Qin Huilan (a self-professed Miu Miu and Prada aficionado) to walk the runway in a full Miu Miu look. By her side, Doctor Qin cradled the Aventure bag instead of carrying it via the rigid top handles. Indeed, proving once again that there are no rules in Miu Miu’s fashion DNA.
The Aventure pays homage to an archival design from 2009, now reinterpreted in two slightly different versions. Firstly, a half-moon zip style comes with a long shoulder strap that allows for multiple ways of wearing. The second version is a considerably larger tote bag. The buckle strap in front is more than just a decorative element, because you can adjust it to three lengths.
At Miu Miu, playful tricks like crochet charms and leather accoutrements are also taking the spotlight. These include miniature versions of popular Miu Miu bags, such as the micro Aventure charm. It certainly makes for the perfect accessory dangling casually around the handles of your Aventure bag. Prices start at SGD2200 for the fully functional leather charms, down to the buckles and internal pockets.
As for the Aventure bags, they currently retail from SGD4500 to SGD5800. Choose from buttery-soft nappa leather in Black, Briarwood and Oak. Fashion with a wink and a smile, Miu Miu is designed for the girl who dares to be different.
