The east-west bag trend is sweeping across the fashion world, and it’s pretty easy to see why. The aesthetically pleasing silhouette sets them apart from more traditional formats. This style isn’t exactly new at Loewe, of course. Besides dabbling in cropped versions of the Paseo and Puzzle Fold, the Spanish fashion house now reimagines the Amazona 23 in similarly distinctive proportions.

Just 11 cm tall, all contents of the Amazona 23 Cropped will be in view when you unzip the bag. SLGs, tech accessories and the #iPhone16ProMax can fit comfortably within the suede-lined interior. It also features an extra slip pocket for receipts, cash and other bits and bobs. If you’re wondering what the 23 stands for, that would be the bag’s width in centimetres.

Reimagining the 1970s Loewe icon, the Amazona 23 Cropped comes with a metallic padlock in front. Next to it is the embossed Anagram logo in the corner. The four protective metal feet are another plus, ensuring the leather base never touches most surfaces. Either carry it via the dual top handles or sling the detachable and adjustable strap however you like.

Aside from new seasonal colours in nappa calfskin, Loewe’s Amazona 23 Cropped is also part of the Suna Fujita collaboration. Depicting bunny motifs jumping across the sand-hued leather exterior, it’s too precious to ignore.
