Ever the sartorial provocateur, Jonathan Anderson whimsically reimagines the classic penny loafer as a sophisticated handbag. Launching as part of JW Anderson’s spring-summer 2025 collection, the unisex bag is aptly called the Loafer Bag.

Its exterior proudly displays the handstitched whale tail penny keeper detail, a nod to the shoe’s signature element. The base of the bag even mirrors the sole of a loafer, while the angular top handle resembles its welt. Fun and functional all at once, the shoe-inspired bag style makes its debut in two sizes.
The classic size is available in Black, Off-White and Pecan nappa calf leather, with a fourth option in delicious-looking Chocolate Brown suede. Measuring 28.5 cm wide and 20.5 cm high, the Loafer Bag works as either a handcarry or crossbody via the removable leather sling.
The second option is an oversized carryall with single top handle, ideal for weekends and extended journeys. At 47.5 cm by 29 cm, the Large Loafer Bag is available in either Black leather or Chocolate Brown suede.
After months of anticipation, the wait is finally over, with the Loafer Bag now available in London, Milan and Tokyo.
