Renowned artists and prestigious watchmakers continue to redefine the boundaries of luxury watchmaking, creating wearable works of art. One of the most notable of such collaborations is between Hublot and Takashi Murakami. Once again transcending mere timekeeping is the MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon Sapphire Rainbow.

Since 2021, the duo have constantly been at the forefront of this artistic revolution. While previous releases like the Classic Fusion All Black and the transparent sapphire MP-15 (for Only Watch 2023) were pretty impressive in their own right, their latest creation takes horological innovation and artistic expression to all-new heights.

The MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon Sapphire Rainbow infuses Murakami’s signature smiling flower into Hublot’s watchmaking expertise. Limited to just 20 pieces, the 42 MM timepiece is crafted entirely from anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

444 coloured gemstones come together to form 12 petals showcasing a precious rainbow effect. Brilliant-cut amethysts, blue sapphires, rubies and tsavorites, for example, make up the inimitable smiling flower. 12 colours corresponding to the petals also define the hour markers.

Another impressive feature is the 120-hour power reserve thanks to the HUB9015 manual-winding tourbillon. To read the time, look to the hands just beneath the tourbillon cage. A transparent rubber strap with a flower motif, plus a sapphire crystal and titanium deployant buckle, complete the timepiece.

The limited-edition MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon Sapphire Rainbow is officially available for sale at Hublot boutiques and authorised retailers worldwide. In Singapore, Hublot is available at The Hour Glass, with a retail price standing at a cool SGD524,600.
