At Coach, sustainability is more than just a buzzword for show. In April 2023, the fashion brand introduced Coachtopia to give leftover materials and end-of-cycle Coach products new life. Still going strong, Coachtopia launches Alter/Ego, its latest fall-winter 2024 collection utilising Coach’s Checkerboard Upcrafted Leather.
This transforms irregular scraps of the leather hide left over from crafting Coach’s Tabby Bag into a chic new bag. Instead of being discarded, they are formed into new bags. Indeed, the perfect choice for individuals who love circular fashion and materials with a reduced carbon footprint.
A standout from the new collection is the Alter/Ego Hobo Bag, as Bella Hadid can attest to. The supermodel was recently seen carrying it in Los Angeles. Measuring 31 cm by 30 cm, it can hold a laptop, while a magnetic snap closure offers easy access. Its slouchy silhouette also fits right in with the current trend of relaxed handbags.
