Creative director Matthieu Blazy unveils his first fragrance collection for Bottega Veneta. Five genderless eau de parfums take inspiration from the maison’s origin city of Venice and its signature intrecciato leather weave.

Looking to Venice’s rich history as a cultural hub, Blazy designed each of the fragrances as a meeting of ingredients from different countries. The olfactory intrecciato weaves together natural original essences into evocative perfumes that transport the senses.
Firstly, the woody aquatic Acqua Sale whisks you away to the seaside. Capturing the scent of saltwater on skin, it combines woody labdanum absolute from Spain with Macedonian juniper berry. For something both woody and spicy, there’s Alchemie. Brazilian pink pepper and precious myrrh from Somalia come together for an exhilarating and opulent experience.
Next, embrace the warmth of the Mediterranean sun with Colpo di Sole. The oriental floral boasts tranquil notes of French angelica oil and radiant orange blossom absolute from Morocco. Then there’s the fresh and sophisticated Come With Me. Floral, woody and powdery, it weaves elegant Italian bergamot with the powdery violet of fresh orris butter.
Lastly, the oriental and spicy Déjà Minuit blends heady notes of geranium from Madagascar with the spicy warmth of Guatemalan cardamom for a seductive allure. To match the five transportative fragrances, the translucent glass bottles they come in are equally tactile. Fluid and undulating, they feature a sensual organic water-like rippling.
Zoom in and you’ll notice distinct air bubbles, an innovative effect that pays tribute to the tradition of Murano glass-blowing. A sculptured wooden cap then tops each bottle, a nod to the stilt foundations of Venetian palazzos. True works of art, the refillable bottles further feature their own display base in green Verde Saint Denis marble.
Priced at SGD630 for a 100 ML bottle and SGD455 for a 150 ML refill, the new fragrance collection is now available at Bottega Veneta stores at Marina Bay Sands and Paragon.
