Since its inception in 1987, Chanel’s Première watch has continued to challenge conventional watchmaking norms by redefining timepieces for women. Inspired by the N°5 perfume bottle’s stopper and Chanel’s signature quilted handbags, its distinctive octagonal dial and interwoven leather strap instantly became an icon in its own right.

Earlier this year, Blackpink’s Jennie wore the Première Sound watch at the Coco Crush event in Seoul. Draped like a necklace, it meshed tech, horology and style to the limited-edition timepiece. This September, Chanel’s Watchmaking Creation Studio further unveils two new additions.

Firstly, the Première Cuff with the unique leather-interlaced detail surrounding the dial. Giving rise to the impression of approximately seven straps forming a chunky cuff on the wrist, all steel elements, including the case and strap, receive a delicate 18K yellow gold coating for extra lustre. A triple-folding buckle and high-precision quartz movement completes the timepiece.

Love the idea of wearing your timepiece in an unconventional manner? Then look no further than the Première Sautoir-Belt. Adjustable to two lengths, you can either wear it as a chic necklace or drape it around the hips. Black leather tassel straps add extra flair to the timepiece, which also boasts a blackened faceted sapphire crystal case back and 18K yellow gold-coated steel chain.

Retaining the bold spirit of the Première Editionale while offering fashion statement-making horology, the Première Cuff (SGD15,500) and Première Sautoir-Belt (SGD17,400) are both available at Chanel boutiques in Singapore.
