For Chanel’s fall-winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection, the French fashion house looked to Deauville for inspiration. Large screens surrounding the runway created the feeling of strolling down a boardwalk during sunset. On it, long, flowy dresses depicting 35mm cinema tickets joined oversized hats, sailor sweaters and tweed ensembles. And, of course, the whimsical Popcorn Minaudière.

Referencing Deauville’s connection to film, Chanel recreates the ubiquitous cinema snack for its seasonal interpretation of the minaudière. The black-and-white resin creation features a shiny ‘Pop Coco’ tag in this playful nod to classic popcorn boxes. A clever mix of faux pearls and gold-tone hardware creates a 3D textural popcorn effect that decorates the entire lid.

To open the 16 cm by 11 cm Popcorn Minaudière, gently push the CC logo in the centre. The single compartment will comfortably house an SLG and your favourite Chanel lipstick, among other fancy bits and bobs. Hold it in the palm of your hands as you would an actual popcorn box, or sling it via the leather-interlaced chain over the shoulder or crossbody.

Chanel’s minaudières are always statement novelties, and the fall-winter 2024 Popcorn Minaudière is no different.
