Matthieu Blazy introduced the foulard intreccio interwoven leather when he took on the role of creative director at Bottega Veneta. Honouring the brand’s legacy, it first appeared on the Kalimero, his debut handbag design. This year, Bottega Veneta unveils the Kalimero Città.
A flap bag spin-off of the original, the compact 25 cm by 18 cm size opens via a magnetic flap closure. Its unlined interior easily holds beauty essentials, SLGs, AirPods and a mobile phone, thus making it an excellent day-to-night bag.
You can either wear it over the shoulder via the sliding strap or hold it in hand with a simple adjustment of the metallic ring. Newer colours to look out for include Ice, Fresh Mint and Orange. However, the Kalimero Città is also available in classic Bottega Veneta hues like Barolo, Black and Bone.
