Chanel’s Métiers d’Art 2023/24 collection was a vibrant homage to British pop culture. Drawing inspiration from London’s punk movement and Manchester’s music scene, it reimagined classic tweed suits with a youthful, rebellious twist. Further disrupting expectations, Chanel introduces a unique creation inspired by the vintage doctor’s bag that’s as British as it gets.

Evoking the style’s enduring elegance, the new design seamlessly blends heritage with functionality. A distinctive hinged upper adds a touch of the unexpected, forming a statement piece that elevates everyday style. Available in two sizes and a selection of colours, it promises to inject a dose of panache into every look.

Chanel simply calls it the Mini Bag With Top Handle (SGD8830) and Small Bag With Top Handle (SGD9440). They measure 18 cm by 12 cm and 23.5 cm by 16 cm respectively. Both sizes come in shiny lambskin accented with sophisticated gold-tone hardware. The addition of a leather-interlaced strap allows for either hand-carry or crossbody wear.

Forget the ubiquitous flap bag and go for this seasonal interpretation from Métiers d’Art 2023/24. In colours like brown, green and purple, Chanel’s latest old-is-new innovation is sure to turn heads wherever you go.
