If you’re looking for the ultimate K-beauty experience, you don’t have to travel all the way to Seoul. Because Jungsaemmool opens its first global flagship right here in Singapore. It packs a makeup and hair salon, an academy, as well as an integrated retail space, all under one roof.

The brainchild of Korean celebrity makeup artist Jung Saem Mool, the haven of beauty offers a tranquil retreat mere minutes away from the bustle of the Orchard Road belt. With lush greenery as its backdrop, the spacious flagship spans two floors of a heritage black-and-white bungalow.

Firstly, a contemporary foyer on the ground floor ushers visitors in. Its focal point is obviously an abstract sculpture that showcases the star products of her eponymous brand. Venture through an arched doorway and into a sleek retail space with an array of makeup, skincare and haircare products for your shopping pleasure.

Here, you can try on crowd-favourites like the Essential Skin Nuder Cushion (SGD52) and Essential Mool Cream Light (SGD62). These complexion must-haves exemplify Jung’s expertise and status as the originator of the ‘nude and transparent’ makeup looks that she created for Gianna Jun’s character in the 2001 movie My Sassy Girl.

Adjacent to this lies the Jungsaemmool academy that’s fashioned like a backstage glam room. Fostering a platform for learning and creativity, the academy offers lessons for both makeup artists and customers alike. Various classes offer insights into K-base makeup, brush techniques and colour theory.

Then ascend the stairs to level two and enter a spacious lounge area decorated with retro-inspired furnishings. This private level, which serves as the Jungsaemmool salon, comprises two distinct areas. The first is for makeup services (from SGD300) while the other offers haircuts and styling (from SGD100). Hair and makeup packages are also available, an option for special occasions, photo shoots and weddings. Or when you simply want to indulge in a K-celeb makeover experience.
