Dior’s Parisian chic sensibilities and the technical mastery of Stone Island collide in the brands’ upcoming co-designed capsule collection. A tribute to Monsieur Christian Dior, this meeting of minds between Kim Jones and Stone Island founder Massimo Osti elevates fashion with innovative yet functional elements.

The ‘double pleat’ tailoring motif from Dior’s spring-summer 1952 haute couture collection and Stone Island’s ‘dutch rope’ system for detachable components coexist as symbols that unite the collaboration. Logo lovers will also be glad to find the maison’s motif positioned alongside Stone Island’s buttoned-down compass badge. This time, the latter is rendered in silk with the Cannage motif stitched through.

Another highlight is the innovative garment dyeing technique that the collection utilises. This involves not only Stone Island’s signature dyeing process. But it also combines Dior’s experimentation with garment-dyed embroidery in the Parisian ateliers. This results in a completely new approach for both brands.

Shoes also showcase a hybrid design combining functionality with classic shoe-making techniques. For example, look forward to boots boasting a thick, triple-moulded sole and sneakers crafted from Stone Island’s cotton sateen fabric.

No Dior collection is complete without bags, of course. A standout piece is the circular leather trunk adorned with Stone Island’s iconic compass rose. It joins a series of utilitarian styles that represent the fusion of traditional craftsmanship, contemporary design and ultimate functionality.

This collection is a testament to the power of collaboration and co-design as it pushes the boundaries of menswear. Set to pre-launch on 14 June with a global release on 4 July, mark your calendars to get your dose of Dior x Stone Island.
