Bottega Veneta teamed up with renowned furniture brand Cassina and Fondation Le Corbusier to present On the Rocks. Held at the Palazzo San Fedele during Milan Design Week, the special installation showcased Le Corbusier’s iconic LC14 Tabouret Cabanon. This time, the reinterpretation by Matthieu Blazy encompasses a series of bespoke one-of-a-kind furniture pieces.

The LC14 Tabouret Cabanon was originally created for Le Corbusier’s cabin on the French Riviera. It took inspiration from a minimalist wooden box that washed up on the beach. Combining their signature impeccable craftsmanship and individualistic style, Bottega Veneta and Cassina now pay tribute with the launch of the Hommage à Le Corbusier LC14 Tabouret Cabanon.

Solid chestnut forms each 43 cm by 43 cm piece, before Bottega Veneta enfolds it in its signature intrecciato leather. Then an intricate application of a spazzolato colour effect takes place. The custom-made pieces are available in a choice of four specific shades: Apple Candy, New Chartreuse, Raintree and Underwater.

For a touch of individualism, a corner brass plate will showcase a special logo and number engraving. Upon completion, the Hommage à Le Corbusier LC14 Tabouret Cabanon will also come in a special packaging. Pre-orders are now open on the Bottega Veneta Singapore’s online store. Each custom-made piece requires 90 days for manufacture and delivery, so expect shipping no earlier than July 2024.

Also look out for the limited-edition LC14 Tabouret Cabanon in full wood. This features a special scorched-like finish that takes inspiration from Japanese wood-burning techniques.
