It’s time to saddle up because Burberry’s Rocking Horse bag now comes in more colours and materials than ever. For those who have yet to get acquainted with the contemporary flap bag that Daniel Lee introduced in his debut Burberry Fall-Winter 2023 collection, here’s a quick refresher.
Its name takes inspiration from the British heritage brand’s longstanding relationship with the equestrian world. This fresh take sees the classic saddle bag sculpted to showcase the sinuous silhouette of a childhood rocking horse. The refreshing b insignia hardware on the fold-over flap subtly references the house’s initial while doubling as its closure.
Previously only available in medium measuring 26 cm by 20.5 cm, the style now also comes in smaller version. The 19 cm by 16 cm mini size also comes with an adjustable shoulder strap. Ready to be spoilt for choice? Here’s what you can expect.

The Mini Rocking Horse is available in three finishes. The first, cloaked in the iconic Burberry Check wool blend, comes in three colours, Flax, Ivy and Peach. Alternatively, consider the jacquard woven wool silk adorned with a bouquet of English roses in pastel Cameo or cotton blend in black with contrasting b closure. Each of these retails at SGD2850.
Prefer a minimalist leather look? Then opt for the grainy calf leather (SGD3250) finish that features Burberry’s celebrated Equestrian Knight Design striding across the back. This version offers a selection of six colours, including new shades like Ribbon and Ruby.
The Medium Rocking Horse, on the other hand, brings four different materials for you to choose from. Kicking off the list is the Burberry Check (SGD4190) in Crimson, Flax, Ivy and Ribbon. It also comes in a jacquard woven wool silk (SGD4190) with the seasonal rose pattern, but in green Ivy instead.
On the leather front, choose from either grainy calf leather (SGD4590) or smooth calf leather (SGD4900), both with the EKD embossing. The former offers six shades, including new colours Hunter and Ruby, while the latter comes in Berry and Vine. So, which size, colour and material will it be for you?
